trundicho?

Trundicho was formed 2005 in Karlsruhe, Baden-Würrtemberg (D) by Angelo Romito as a music project to realize his musical visions and due to his interest in the musical development process.

Angelo Romito writes the songs and the lyrics. He plays and records all instruments and produces the songs in his studio. In addition to his studies of computer science and the addition of music computer science he gathered experience with many bands and musicians.

On the records you can also hear friends and guest musicians. Since 2009 the songs get a new brilliance by the background voice of Leonie Gropper.

Where the name TRUNDICHO comes from is explaned by the following quote of Angelo Romito:

"The name TRUNDICHO was not developed during the search of a band name. As a big fan of computer games it happend too often that my desired nickname has been already taken by another player. This motivated me to invent something totally individual - and this is the concept behind my music, too."


experience with many bands and people developed a music flavour in: blues, pop, rock, over progressive rock, metal, jazz to the so called "new music".

Grainface

the project grainface consists of a four headed experimental group with support of the computer studio at the hochschule für musik karlsruhe. we write digital signal processing code and play on notebooks, joysticks, gamepads, live6, video, keyboards, synthesizers,... all we could get in our hands ;)

Q3 2008 For this project I came up with the idea to set storys of a students life (which in many cases is a noticeable part of lifetime) in a musical context. A time window of four weeks let no space for lyrics and voice. But giving a story telling concept over the complete album may compensate for that. That time was used to make a concept, compose, record, mix, master, do the artwork and online distribution.

The aim for that album where 10 ambient, experimental, rock songs. Additionally I was lucky enough to have time for recording sessions with Expanding_Flan, who did a splendid job recording bass for whisper collector. This is the only song which isn't new but this one deserved a better recording.

Most of the songs have samples from the campus of the University of Karlsruhe recorded with a stereo field recorder of Rukano. With his help I was able to get brilliant quality samples. Some songs with samples of the refectory or interviewed students saying 'Tuition Fee' fit obviously to the concept - some songs like student dream or printer, which have samples of a dishwasher or a real printer, maybe a little more imagination firering.

As usual there is a lot of guitar work in this project. Sometimes I used an ebow. The accordion was proved to rock hard in the progressive rock song conclave. The drums were played with the Boss Dr. Rhythm 880. (I really like the pads!!) A violine played with plectrum had its scene in 'The night before'.
In some cases I used digital effects processed in SuperCollider which partly ran in by Rukano and P. Borgeat. For 'Student Jazz' I used the kitchens door which sounds like a free jazz trumpet. For 'Tuition Fee' I made sounds with an eighty meter receiver - equipmentused for Amateur Radio Direction Finding sport.

2005-2008 Trundicho Sunday Songs is an internet project. TSS is Trundicho's first album and was released in 2008 under Creative Commons.

This project was made with the restriction to compose, record, mix and master one song at one sunday.

ein hammer project. mit 2 gitarristen (davon einer ich), keyboarder, bassisten und einem drummer wurde 2 jahre lang gerockt was das zeug hält! das hochgesteckte ziel: aus sehr ausgedehnten (teils stundenlangen) langen improvisierten sessions wurden stücke geschrieben. das hat viel spass gebracht und ich erinnere mich gerne an diese zeit zurück! schade dass die zeit gefehlt hat das projekt auf publikum treffen zu lassen :/

eine aus waschechten fans bestehenden pinkfloyd coverband mit sänger, 2 sängerinnen, drummer, bassist, keyboarder und 2 gitarristen (davon einer ich). wie leicht passiert es mit dieser musik, mit den gedanken in einer anderen welt zu sein! ich erinnere mich noch an unseren auftritt am freistetter sportfest, bei dem wir mit dem publikum zusammen das grosse festzelt festhalten mussten, um nicht vom sturm lothar weggerissen zu werden! nichts desto trotz, top musiker, top musik => viel spass!
